Meredith Reitz, RYT
Meredith took her first yoga class in 2006 at a gym. She loved how the practice made her feel more peaceful, stand and little taller, and brought awareness to her alignment throughout the day. But it wasn’t until 2010 as she was preparing for the birth of her first child that she began to really deepen her practice and discover the connection of mind and body. It is this relationship to the breath, mind, and body that she seeks to help her students discover and develop in to each of her alignment-based yoga classes.
In 2015 she completed her 200 hour teacher training with Collette Hill, Kate Waitzkin, and Gioconda Parker at Wanderlust in Austin. Meredith will always be a student of the practice and grateful for the wisdom of all of her teachers.
As a busy mom of two toddlers, her practice has evolved yet again into a much-needed place of quiet and calm. She views yoga as a space to recharge and practice self-care in order serve others. She has found that through compassionately nourishing mind and body through yoga, we can more often live authentically and radiate compassion and care to our communities.
When she’s not on the mat Meredith enjoys exploring Austin with her husband and two amazing kiddos. She loves trying new restaurants, gardening, practicing piano, cooking, and art.
