As a teacher and student, I dedicate myself to the exploration of the body/mind’s wisdom and innate healing potential. I believe proper alignment varies from body to body, and that yoga constantly explores the boundaries of what is possible for each individual in each moment. The practice inspires us to emerge from difficult, destructive situations through the development of our inner positive qualities and therein transcends the geometric shapes we physically achieve. My teaching style uses an alignment-based, heart-centered practice to inspire, impassion, spur devotion, and infuse practicers with wisdom, humor, and creativity. Through an exploration of yoga’s great traditions and daily practice I encourage the cultivation of patience, balances strength and flexibility and moving meditation.
I am an adventurer, life lover, genuine truth seeker and community activator, bringing people together through conscious, collective gatherings. I practice and teach yoga because I believe yoga provides a vehicle for waking people up, not just internally through their own psychology and physiology but also in communities, institutions, and society. Yoga creates a powerful path of personal transformation. It opens our hearts and expands our awareness of self, creating space for balance and profound change in our lives. The wisdom of this work involves awakening to a deeper, more purposeful life.
